Divine

Mercy

And More

God’s greatest attributes for us is His Love and His Mercy.

In the last century, God revealed His Divine Mercy through revelations and visits from Heaven by Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Faustina Kowalska.

The Virgin Mary promised Sister Lucia to “assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation , all those who on the first Saturdays of five consecutive months confess, receive Holy Communion, pray a Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour meditating on the fifteen mysteries with the intention of offering me reparation.”

Why Five Months?

Completing the Five First Saturdays leads a soul to Heaven. The question some people have is why does it have to be five consecutive months? Why not 3 or 6 or another number?

Our Lord Jesus Christ explained to Sister Lucia on May 29, 1930. There are five kinds of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Blessed Virgin Mary:

The purpose of the Holy Hour is to encourage deep personal encounter with Christ.  The holy and glorious God is constantly inviting us to come to Him, to converse with Him, to ask for things we need and to experience what a blessing there is in fellowship with Him”

Next to the Mass, the greatest practice a person can acquire is a daily Holy Hour before Jesus, whose Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity are present in every consecrated host retained in the tabernacle.

The Holy Hour is a time to petition Jesus in prayer, to converse with Him, and especially to adore Him.

    "Let nothing perturb you.
        Nothing frighten you.
        All things pass.
        God never changes.
        Patience achieves everything.
        Whoever has God lacks nothing.
        God alone suffices."

Saint Teresa of Jesus, the first woman doctor (a title given for her writings) of the Catholic Church, is popularly known as St. Teresa of Avila (Spain). It is spiritual genius, like the following prayer, which I’ve learned to memorize, which should be posted in your room, read daily and eventually memorized in your daily crosses and walk with the Lord.

All of us who truly love God want to do His will in our lives, not do what we want to do, which can lead to wrong-thinking and even sin. It is my sincere hope that you will come back to this section often, even to re-read an article.

May God Bless you all!
